What does Cat Insurance cover?
Pet insurance for cats covers your little mate for up to 80% of eligible costs at any licensed veterinarian throughout Australia other than yourself.
And if you choose to add Optional Routine Care (non-insurance), we will provide a contribution towards the costs of routine care items such as vaccinations, de-sexing, micro-chipping plus many other day to day routine care items up to the Routine Care annual limit.

Optional Routine Care (non-insurance benefit)
In addition to the standard inclusions with your pet insurance policy, you can add the non-insurance benefit, Routine care, to receive a contribution towards the cost of some routine care items for any one of the following:
$100 annual sub-limit for any one of the following:
- Desexing
- Microchipping
- Heartworm control
- Teeth cleaning
- Prescription diets
- Cremation or burial
- Dental illness treatment
- Council registration fees
- Obedience training
- Behavioural therapy
- Alternative therapies
$50 annual sub-limit for any one of the following:
- Vaccination or health check
- Flea/tick/worm control
- Blood screen
What’s not covered?
Pre-existing conditions ℹ️ Some Conditions are eligible for review after an 18-month period – this can be done on application or simply by submitting your claim. Refer to your PDS for more information
- Dental care (unless Platinum cover or optional Dental Illness Benefit is selected)
- Day-to-day care
- Elective procedures and treatments
- Your pet not being protected (Tooltip: Your pet not being protected. If you neglect your pet or fail to take all reasonable precautions to protect your pet from situations that may result in injury or illness (such as organised fighting or
hunting activities).
