    • Chris says... I've bought a lot of Krabooz products & spent a lot of money! After more thoroughly researching hermit crabs & their needs I learnt that these "liferingz" & hermit crab enclosures are not suitable for hermit crabs at all & are in fact quite cruel! Also, the care information given by Krabooz is mostly incorrect, particularly concerning the substrate (sand & peat) which needs to be at least 15cm deep so the crabs can bury themselves to molt. The Krabooz painted shells are also toxic for crabs. I now have a very large tank (bought very cheaply) so still buy the Krabooz hermit crabs in an attempt to rescue them & give them a more suitable environment. Please do your research before purchasing hermit crabs & the associated products. They are wonderful pets to have but do require more care than the Krabooz will have you believe :)
