Petbarn Foundation Seeing Eye Dogs Appeal
This year we've raised $1,359,755 to help train-up 27 Seeing Eye Dogs pups
It costs $50k to train-up a single Seeing Eye Dogs pup.
These Seeing Eye Dogs provide vital support, constant companionship, independence and contribute to an all-round better quality of life for people in our community who are blind or have low vision.
Since 2014, the Petbarn Foundation has donated $7m to train up 152 Seeing Eye Dogs. This year, Royal Canin has donated $50k to fund the first Seeing Eye Dogs pup for our 2024 Appeal!

Your donations will go towards training up Seeing Eye Dogs pups for Australians who are blind or have low vision.
Sky's the limit for pups in training
On July 17th, Seeing Eye Dog Pups Udell, Uke, Ulesi and Ultimo boarded a Jetstar plane, getting used to the sights, sounds, and layout of air travel.
Ensuring Seeing Eye Dogs pups are well-trained on planes allows people who are blind or have low vision to travel independently and have comfortable and safe flights, giving them the freedom to live the life they choose.

Mabel & Clare take on the world
In 2019, Clare was matched with Mabel, a Seeing Eye Dog, who has greatly increased her confidence and independence. "I flew to Sydney by myself a few weeks ago and I probably wouldn’t do that if I was still on the cane, I’d go with somebody... she just really gives me confidence," Clare explained.

Sophie & Winnie, independent together
Winnie has significantly improved Sophie’s life, she even saved her life by stopping her from being hit by a car running a red light. "If she hadn’t stopped, the driver would’ve hit me."
Grateful for the support, Sophie expresses, "I’m just so grateful Petbarn Foundation have chosen Seeing Eye Dogs so Vision Australia can provide more Winnies to people like me."

The Power of Partnerships
Nick's adventures as a Paralympic athlete, marathon runner and blind AFL player became less lonely after being matched with his first Seeing Eye Dog, Unity.
Nick expresses his gratitude to Seeing Eye Dogs supporters and Petbarn: "It’s partnerships that create success. Petbarn understand the importance of giving back and what these dogs do, and they’re living examples of how they enable people with disabilities to achieve so much."
