Thank you to everyone who has helped us raise funds for Seeing Eye Dogs Australia (SEDA). Here’s an update on just a few of the dogs who you have helped fund on their journey to become Seeing Eye Dogs!

Belle

Belle is already turning one this month! Her puppy carer says that as Belle grows older, she’s becoming much calmer, which is important if she is to one day become a working Seeing Eye Dog. This month has seen Belle go on lots of adventures, including a visit to her carer’s daughter’s school for Volunteering and People Power week and a fishing trip to Phillip Island.

Molly

If Molly were a human school student, she would definitely be getting top marks! Like most of the SEDA Petbarn puppies, Molly is growing quickly. Her puppy carer says that she’s huge now, and jokes that Molly’s days of sitting on people’s laps are well and truly over.

Willa

Willa is making big strides in her Seeing Eye Dog training, with her confidence increasing dramatically over the past few months. The gorgeous pup recently took a mini holiday and spent a month at SEDA’s National Kennel and Puppy Centre, where she undertook obedience and behaviour tests. Willa passed her tests with flying colours, but will be venturing back to SEDA in a few weeks to be desexed.

YOGI_pb_300xYogi

Yogi is currently working on his behaviour while wearing his coat out in public; he’s taking regular trips to the local shopping centre with his puppy carer and, in particular, walking around Kmart. On the weekends, Yogi visits lots of cafés, where he is extremely well behaved, patiently resting under the table as he watches passers-by. The cinema and the hair salon are two new places that Yogi ventured to this month.

Petbarn is delighted to work with Seeing Eye Dogs Australia, but we couldn’t do it without your support. Find out more and donate today!
