Their corded coat makes them one of the most unique looking dogs on the block. Pulis are protective, loyal, lively, and enjoy lots of snuggles and afternoon runs.

88-puli

Pulis are the ultimate hipster dog. With their tassel-like coat that could pass for dreadlocks, you can have matching hairstyles with your dog. These happy, spring-like, playful pets enjoy sniffing every tree and chasing after every noise. They have an insatiable curiosity and remain puppy-like well into their teens.

Pulis have good eyesight, not to mention superb hearing. Naturally suspicious of strangers, they take their role as watchdog seriously. Loyal and devoted, yet gentle enough to play with children, they make wonderful family pets or loyal companions. They even enjoy the company of other pets if socialised from a young age. However, they may act hostile towards random dogs at the park, so it’s best to keep them leashed. They are super smart, yet also dominant and mischief-causing. Early obedience training is essential for a well-mannered dog.

Fun fact: Mark Zuckerberg’s wife Priscilla Chan was

walked down the aisle by her Puli named Beast.

Full of energy, your Puli loves vigorous exercise. Take them for a daily run and play lots of games to keep them happy. They love herding and agility games. If they don’t get enough exercise, your neighbour may complain about their excessive barking.

Grooming a Puli can prove quite difficult due to their corded coat. It doesn’t take to brushing but bath your buddy when necessary. Every cord needs to be separated before and afterwards, and their coat must be completely dried, often taking hours. To keep your dog’s coat looking its best, find a dog groomer. Pulis shed little hair and are hypoallergenic.

Scheduled six monthly health check visits with your vet are important to ensure that your dog is healthy and happy throughout all life stages. Together with your vet, you can determine and maintain a preventative health care program based on the individual needs of your canine companion.
