Competition Period 9.01am (AEST) on 01/05/2019 to 5.00pm (AEST) on 12/05/2019.
Who can enter? Only Australian residents who:
(a)              are aged 18 or over
(b)              who are a registered “Friends for Life” member and who have a valid phone number or email address associated with their “Friends for Life” membership account.
Who can’t enter? Directors, officers, management and employees (and their immediate families) of:
(a)              the Promoter; and
(b)              the agencies, companies or participating premises associated with this competition.
Where will the competition run? The competition will run on the Petbarn Instagram page (“Instagram Page”).  
Entry instructions At the commencement of the competition, the Promoter will post a promotional post to its Instagram Page (“Promotional Post”).

To be eligible to enter, individuals must locate the Promotional Post, tag a friend and comment why a high meat diet is important for their pooch in the comments section of the Promotional Post.

How many winners will there be and how will they be chosen? There will be one winner determined in respect of this competition.

This is a game of skill. Entries will be judged based on uniqueness.

The judging will take place from 12:00pm noon (AEST) on 13/05/2019 at Greencross Limited Support Office, of Unit 6, 372 Eastern Valley Way, Chatswood, NSW, 2067. The judges may select additional reserve entries which they determine to be the next best, and record them in order, in case of an invalid entry or ineligible entrant.

What can I win? There are 10 (ten) prizes available.

The prize is 10 (ten) bags of 2.5kg Providore Dog Food in the form of a credit on the entrants Friends For Life account valued at $114.99

How many times can I enter? Multiple entries permitted, subject to the following: (a) each entry must be substantially unique; and (b) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.
How and when will the winner/s be informed? Winner/s will be notified via a private message on Instagram within two  (2) business days of determination. Winner/s will have their name published in the comments section of the Promotional Post.
Unclaimed prize/s Winners must claim their prize by no later than 5:00pm (AEST) on 17/06/2019.

If a prize has not been accepted or claimed by the prize claim date above or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter can’t contact a winner (or a winner does not contact the Promoter) by the prize claim date above, the relevant entry/ies will be discarded and the Promoter will re-award the relevant prize/s to a reserve entry. Any winner/s will be informed in a private message via Instagram.

Collection and use of your personal information Winners consent that if they are deemed a winner, they must take part in all publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation.  Winners consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness and/or image in any promotional or advertising activity.

Entrants’ Personal Information may be disclosed to the Promoter and the Promoter’s contractors and agents to assist in conducting this competition. Entry is conditional on providing this personal information

1                 These Terms and Conditions incorporate and must be read together with the details outlined in the table above.  Information about prizes and how to enter forms part of these Terms and Conditions.  By entering, entrants accept these Terms and Conditions.


2                 Entries must be received during the Competition Period and will be deemed to be received only when received by the Promoter. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks.  Entrants are responsible for their own costs associated with entering. Entrants can only enter the promotion in their own name. If an entrant  enters using automatically generated entries or multiple aliases they may be disqualified.


3                 Prizes are subject to the conditions imposed by the prize supplier, including any validity period.


4                 The competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners.

5                 Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.

6                 If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.

7                 If an entrant or their entry is deemed by the Promoter to breach these Terms and Conditions, their entry (or at the Promoter’s discretion, all of their entries) may be discarded.  The Promoter may, at any time, require entrants to produce documentation to establish to the Promoter’s satisfaction the validity of an entrant’s entries (including documentation establishing an entrant’s identity, age, place of residence and place of employment).  Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not waive those rights.

8                 Entrants must not:
(a)           tamper with the entry process;
(b)           engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition;
(c)           act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
(d)           do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition;
(e)           breach any law; or
(f)            behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.

9                 The Promoter is not liable for entries, prize claims or correspondence that are misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted including failure of any third parties to forward entry forms for inclusion in the competition, where relevant.

10               The Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this competition is final.

11               Prizes cannot be transferred or exchanged nor redeemed for cash.  Without limiting any other term of these Terms and Conditions, all prizes (and elements of prizes) must be taken as and when specified, or will be forfeited with no replacement.  The prize values are correct as at the date of preparing these Terms and Conditions and include any applicable GST.  The Promoter is not responsible for any change in prize value.  Entrants agree that if a prize (or element of a prize) is unavailable for any reason the Promoter may provide another item of equal or higher value.

12               By entering, entrants request that their full address not be published.

13               If this competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter’s control, for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, the Promoter may end, change, suspend or cancel the competition or disqualify affected entries/entrants.

14               The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from you winning a prize.  You should seek independent financial advice.  If for GST purposes this competition results in any supply being made for non-monetary consideration, you must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.


15               Nothing in these Terms and Conditions restricts, excludes or modifies any consumer rights under any statute including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

16               Subject to the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable (including in negligence) for any loss (including indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury (including allergies, skin conditions or other reactions, as relevant), illness or death suffered in connection with this competition or any prize, except for any liability which under statute cannot be excluded (in which case that liability is limited to the greatest extent allowed by law).

17               Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies associated with this competition are not liable for any loss of, damage to or delay in delivery of prize/s, or for any damage that occurs to displayed prize/s (where relevant).  Unless otherwise specified, prize/s will only be delivered to addresses in Australia.

18               Entry and continued participation in the competition is dependent on entrants following and acting in accordance with the Instagram Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, which can be viewed at This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram. Entrants understand that they are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Instagram. The information an entrant provides will only be used for the purposes outlined in these Terms and Conditions. Any questions, comments or complaints about this competition must be directed to the Promoter and not to Instagram. Instagram will not be liable for any loss or damage or personal injury which is suffered or sustained  by an entrant, as a result of participating in the competition (including taking/use of a prize), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.


19               Entrants agree that they are fully responsible for any materials they submit via the competition including but not limited to comments, recordings and images (“Content”). The Promoter shall not be liable in any way for such Content to the full extent permitted by law. The Promoter may remove or decline to publish any Content without notice for any reason whatsoever. Entrants warrant and agree that:
(a) they will not submit any Content that is unlawful or fraudulent, or that the Promoter may deem in breach of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, sexually inappropriate, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable with respect to race, religion, origin or gender, not suitable for children aged under 15, or otherwise unsuitable for publication;
(b) their Content shall not contain viruses or cause injury or harm to any person or entity;
(c) they will obtain prior consent from any person or from the owner(s) of any property that appears in their Content;
(d) they will obtain full prior consent from any person who has jointly created or has any rights in the Content to the uses contemplated by these Terms and Conditions, and the Content does not infringe the rights of any third party;
(e) they consent to any use of the Content which may otherwise infringe the Content creator’s/creators’ moral rights pursuant to the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and warrant that they have the full authority to grant these rights; and
(f) they will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others’ computer or communication systems.

20               Without limiting any other terms herein, the entrant agrees to indemnify the Promoter for any breach of the above terms.

21               As a condition of entering this competition, each entrant licenses and grants the Promoter, its affiliates and sub-licensees a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display their entry (which shall include Content) for any purpose, including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes, in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability.
