PetLife Halti Headcollar is a training aid for dogs. Made with soft but extremely strong webbing that fits easily onto your dogs's head. Stops dogs pulling while allowing the freedom to pant and yawn. It works using the same principle as a halter when leading a horse. Attach your lead to the Halti connecting ring to quickly and easily teach your dog not to pull away. As your dog begins to pull, the Halti will steer the dog's head towards you, controlling the dog's direction of movement. Dog size guide: X Small: Yorkshire Terrier, Toy Poodle, Miniature Dachshund, Papillons Small: Bichon Frise, Cavalier King Charles, Maltese, Jack Russell, West Highland Terrier Medium: Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, Scottish Terrier, Border Collie, Staffordshire Bull Terrier Large: German Shepherd, Dalmatian, Doberman, Boxer, Labrador X Large: Newfoundland, Rottweiler, Bull Mastiff, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Great Dane XX Large: St Bernard, Bloodhound, Irish Wolfhound

    • Natalie says... While the Halti worked in controlling the pulling the first few times, my lab x maremma was so determined to have it off her face she would scratch at it despite it being well fitted until it came off. I no longer bother as she becomes greatly distressed and immediately tries to back out of it, in turn having it tighten around her mouth to a degree that causes pain.
    • Lee says... The first one I bought, my staff/bully chewed through it before we left the store. The store graciously replaced it. But again, rapidly chewed through. Will get another one but need more durable fabric.
    • Tom says... These things are amazing! We were having trouble walking our 2 BoxerXLabs with body harnesses as they just would dig in and bound off with us attatched! With the Halti's we couldnt believe they were the same dogs! Walking beside us, loose leads. It was excellent! I was standoffish with them knowing the power of our 2 but im proven incorrect, they didnt enjoy them one bit at first but once we were off they forgot all about them really. Would recommend to anybody
    • Jacqui says... We have a 13 month old Labrador, which was a nightmare to walk with just a collar and was advised by the vet to use a Halti. After using the Halti, the dog was a completely differently dog clam and focused. We only used the Halti for two days before it snapped thank god my dog not a runner, otherwise it could have been run over by a car. So disappointed and will not be purchasing this product again especially as Purina is a dog brand specialist. Even the service we received from Petbarn in Kenmore was very poor, we was given no direction or advice how to use the product although we did ask. As I explained to the shop assistant we are both new dog owners and needed help with choosing the Halti all they did was recommend the large which didn't fit. we paid £23.19 for a medium size.
    • Madalin says... Luckily I brought my American Staffy X Kelpie in to our local pet barn today, as I picked up the medium sized halti and was going to buy it, as it said it was to fit Staffordshire Bull Terriers, but before I paid for it I asked if he could try it on, I put it on him and it was just too big, so I ended up having to get the SMALL which is supposed to be designed for Bichon Frise, Cavalier King Charles, Maltese, Jack Russell & West Highland Terriers. The small fit Ammo perfectly, but I decided why not try it on my Maltese X as it was technically supposed to be his size, it fell off him! Definitely wouldn't recommend buying this halti online, go in store and try for yourself! Other than the sizing, Ammo has already settled down on pulling on the lead, let's hope this good behaviour continues! :)
    • IOwnAMenace says... It sounds ridiculous but my terrier was a nightmare to walk with. Running at cars, barking at other dogs and trying to bite people, as well as trying to drag anyone who held the leash down the street. Tired of having my dog choke itself in a collar and pulling so hard against a harness that it snapped and he ran off down the street leaving me holding a leash and harness still connected (true story) I finally purchased the halti. This has transformed him into the dog of our dreams. Walks calmly next to us (unless feeling threatened) and doesn't even appear to be the same dog. A word of warning, he is smart enough to pull it off occasionally, but that doesn't matter because there is a safety clip for his collar (LIFE SAVER: see story above!!) and sometimes he becomes a slug dog and rubs his face in the grass trying to get it off, but seriously, best purchase ever!
    • taiya says... I have 2 labs x rottis and my 2 yr is now walking perfectly thanks to the halti . My youngest pup is about to get one today and i can't wait to walk with to slack leads . As a dog trainer these are great training tools for dogs to learn how to walk with us and are easy to wein off to a collar .
    • Amanda says... I bought the Large Halti as I have a Dobermann. Despite really liking the Halti, the sizing is way too big for my dog. As recommended for a Dobermann I purchased the large size. However, my Doberman's head is not as large around the neck where the Halti sits (behind the ears). This results in the neck part of the harness being very large and loose for my dog. I need to buy a smaller size now. I highly recommend going into a Petbarn store and getting your dog sized before buying this product, as the recommended sizing (for big dogs) is a little too big. As for the functioning of the Halti - I have another brand of head harness for my dog and its irritates here around the nose as it does not having the padding nor the ability to become lose like this Halti. I will buy a smaller size for my dog as with this Halti, my dog was responding really well with it and had stopped trying to rub it off her nose. My dog is still a puppy (10 mths old) and a horrible puller. I found with this Halti, she was responding quicker and was seeming to understand that if she walked beside me the Halti wasn't as tight around her nose.
    • Court says... 2 yr old American Bulldog and 1 yr old Rottweiler used to be NIGHTMARES to walk, within 5 -10 min of the first walk I couldn't even believe they were the same dogs. Slack Leash the whole trip.
    • Alex says... I have two 4 month old Beagle X Kelpie Collies as these little pups are getting stronger, it was getting harder and harder to walk with them and I was thinking how on earth are my wife and kids going to be able to walk these dogs as they get stronger did a bit of research, read about this product went into the Clayton store, the staff was amazing they help me put on the Halti on both dogs and walk around the store also they gave me a couple of pointers on how to use it its a dream walking with both these pups now, even my kids are tagging along for walks Next step Dog School.. Thanks guys
