PRO PLAN Veterinary Diets Feline NF Renal Function Early Care Tender Pieces with Chicken Pouches is designed to support adult cats in the early stages of chronic kidney disease (CKD). For many years, CKD has been managed with diets that restrict protein, but as cats are obligate carnivores, they require a certain level of high-quality protein to maintain lean body mass and overall health. Instead of drastically limiting protein intake, a more gradual reduction helps to manage CKD while still supporting the cat's nutritional needs. This formula is carefully crafted with a reduced amount of high-quality protein to minimize the production of nitrogenous waste products that the kidneys must filter. This helps ease the burden on the kidneys while providing essential nutrients to support general health. The tender pieces with chicken offer an appealing texture that encourages feeding, making it easier for your cat to consume the necessary nutrients during this critical time. The science behind PURINA PRO PLAN Veterinary Diets represents a collaboration between Purina nutritionists, veterinarians, and researchers, ensuring that this diet provides a balanced and effective approach to managing kidney function. By choosing PRO PLAN Veterinary Diets Feline NF Kidney Function Early Care, you are helping to manage chronic renal failure and its complications in adult and aging cats, promoting better kidney health and overall well-being.
