Product description

The Halti Front Control Harness was designed by Dr Roger Mugford to assist in stopping your dog from pulling by providing front control. It applies the same principle as the Halti Headcollar but instead steers your dog from its chest rather than by its head. The Halti Front Control Harness helps to put pet owners in control of their dogs that don’t like or cannot wear a Halti Headcollar.

The patented front control system steers the dog from his chest and shoulders - and thus sets the direction in which he can move. Unlike other designs of anti-pull harnesses, the Halti Front Control Harness does not put painful pressure on the body and is always comfortable. Ideally used with a double-ended lead to give maximum control. The back ring above the shoulders acts as a brake while the front lead steers.

Terrible product! The first one we got broke after three weeks. The second we got rubbed a big patch of fur off under our dogs arm leaving red and sore skin! The halti was fitted according to the instructions! Waste of money and would not recommend to anyone.
  • Freya says...
We just took our seven month old German Shepherd on his first walk with the Halti Harness, and what a difference it made! He has only just recently gotten into the habit of pulling (and is quite strong being 27kg), but instantly had a change of attitude towards his walk with this on. He remained calm, and even seemed happy with the harness on. Really pleased with the results, however I can definitely see if you have a dog that has pulling ingrained into its routine how this may not make a HUGE difference - but I think you'd notice it still! My only issue is that if you have a doggie who likes to zig-zag on walks, the front clip can make holding the lead on the correct side a tiny bit of a juggling act.
  • Claire says...
this worked well on our 10 month old german shepherd who pulls alot on the lead. But it worked by pulling her to one side. it also inhibited the movement in her right shoulder (when on my left). Our dog trainer warned that it caused severe friction sores on his shepherd and had to see vet for treatment. it really needs to be fitted properly, and dont use the front ring unless you have stitched the ring in place so it doesnt slide to left or right.
  • kate says...
It was a good harness at first, and made walking my dog who was prone to pulling alot easier. however the halti harness started fraying within 3 months rendering it useless. poor quality.
  • Nicky says...
Very disappointed that the small size harness was way too big for my Maltese girl, so we couldn't use it. Petlife didn't deliver on their claim that these harnesses will fit any size dog, I wish they did! I had no issues though with returning the product at my local store and getting a full refund.

My Kelpie is 8 months old and pulls like a steam engine. Tried dog training, choke chains of a couple of sorts and standard Halti over the muzzle with no improvement. Put the Halti harness on today and I am amazed! She walked nicely beside me immediately. I now look forward to taking her for walks. I would highly recommend this product.
  • Belinda says...
No training, as soon as we had it on our unruly dog, the pulling stop. Would highly recommend :)
  • Renee says...
I bought this for my 3 month old pup. He is 23kg already and impossible for me to control on a standard harness...I dont like him walking on collar and leash and he hates the standard halti that goes over his muzzle.. There was no adjustment period to this harness, he stopped pulling immediately! Very happy with this product!
