We understand that these are uncertain times for pet parents and their pets, which is why we’re providing free Same Day Delivery to the vulnerable, healthcare and education workers and elderly. Eligible customers include seniors, people with a disability, heathcare and education workers and those with compromised immunity or who are required to self isolate.
If you or someone you know is eligible and you’d like to apply for free Same Day Delivery, all you need to do is complete the application form and follow the prompts. We’ll provide you with a unique code for free delivery which you can apply at checkout.

How Same Day Delivery works.

Shop online

  • Shop online and find your desired product.

  • Add your products to cart.

  • In your cart, select Same Day Delivery as your shipping option.

  • Checkout and pay*.

*Please note you will only be able to complete a Same Day Delivery order if all the items in your cart are available and in stock for your delivery location. Certain products are not available for same day delivery such as aquariums, live animals, vet prescription diets, fresh and frozen food and housing.

E-mail confirmation

  • We’ll send an email to confirm your order and another once your order has been picked up for delivery.

  • Your order will be delivered to your selected delivery address the same day providing you order before 4pm.

  • To comply with social distancing rules our courier drivers will leave your order in a safe place outside you chosen address.

  • What is Same Day Delivery?

    Same Day Delivery is a fast and convenient Petbarn home delivery option, so you can get your pet essentials sooner. This service is currently only available for orders placed before 4pm Monday – Saturday and 3pm Sunday for delivery within the Melbourne, Adelaide, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Cairns, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane metro areas. We are working to expand to all national metro areas at a later date.

  • How do I place my order with Same Day Delivery?

    Once you add your desired items to your basket, proceed to the checkout and follow the prompts. At checkout, you’ll see Same Day Delivery as a delivery option which you can select. You’ll have the chance to review your cart and delivery option before final payment, to check that all your details are correct.

  • Does it cost extra?

    We currently have an introductory launch offer for Same Day Delivery at $9.95. This is for a limited time only until 30/05/2020.

  • What areas is it available?

    Currently, free Same Day Delivery is available in selected Melbourne, Adelaide, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Cairns, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane metro areas, until this service is launched nationally at a later date. Same Day Delivery is only available to addresses within a 10km proximity to a Petbarn or City Farmers store, and is not available to PO boxes or Parcel Lockers.

  • How long does it run for?

    Free Same Day Deliveries is available until the allocation of 20,000 free deliveries is exhausted, or unless otherwise stated and is subject to change.

  • Who will deliver my order?

    Your order will be delivered by a third-party courier driver who will identify themselves upon arrival.

  • What happens if I place my order after 4pm?

    Your order will be classified as Next Day Delivery and you’ll receive email communication if this occurs.

  • How long will it take for my order to arrive?

    Once we process your order, it will take up to 4 hours to arrive at your specified address. You’ll be notified by Email when your delivery is on its way.

  • How do I know when my order has been placed?

    You’ll receive an email from Petbarn with your order details. We’ll also send you an Email when your order is Leaving the store so you can be ready to receive it.

  • What happens if I’m not home when my delivery arrives?

    Your order will be left at your delivery address in a safe place providing it is accessible.

  • I have items missing from my order. What do I do?

    If you have an issue with your order, please contact us on 1300 655 896 or via live chat.

  • Where should I meet my delivery person?

    To comply with social distancing regulations, the delivery partner will avoid person-to-person contact and leave your delivery at your door, provided it is accessible.

  • Can I place my order for a set time?

    At this stage, order scheduling is not available. We aim to get your order to you as soon as possible and will notify you when your order is on its way so you know when to expect your delivery.

  • Are all your products available for Same Day Delivery?

    To ensure the products arrive to you in the best quality possible we have put restrcitions on the products you can have delivered the same day. Exclusions include:Products over 21kg Housing including aquariums, kennels, chicken coups and terrariums. fresh & frozen food. Live animals including but not limited to fish & birds.
