Clear the Shelters

We helped save 545 pets in just 1 week!

We reached our goal!

Between Friday 21st -Sunday 23rd February, the RSPCA together with 113 Petbarn in-store adoption centres participated in a national “Clear the Shelters” campaign.

Clear the Shelters is an initiative giving shelter pets a second chance at happiness by reducing the adoption fee for a limited time. During the campaign, we set a goal to rehome 500 pets from our in-store adoption centres…AND WE BEAT IT!

There are now 545 pets out of shelters and into homes with loving families. This now means the total of pets adopted through Petbarn in-store centres is now 47,542 since 2012!

And 100% of every adoption fee the Petbarn Foundation has collected has gone back to our shelter partners so they can continue the amazing work they do.

Do you have an adoption story to tell?

Is your phone filling up with happy snaps of your adopted pet? Email your photos through and tell us about your pet. We love to see how our adoption pets are settling in with their new families!

The Gift that keeps on giving

A huge thanks to Hill’s Science Diet for generously donating $10 to the RSPCA for every cat adopted over the weekend up to the value of $5000. This donation will go towards continuing to care for animals waiting for their forever home.
