Advocate is designed as a monthly spot-on treatment. Apply one dose every 30 days on the skin between your dog's shoulder blades to maintain continuous protection against fleas, heartworm and common intestinal parasites (excluding tapeworms). Use the dose that fits your dog's weight.

Advocate is approved for puppies from seven weeks of age and weighing at least 1kg. If your puppy is younger than seven weeks or lighter than 1kg, wait until they meet the minimum requirements or check with your vet before first use.

Advocate does help prevent heartworm infestations when applied monthly as directed. 

Each Advocate tube contains imidacloprid and moxidectin. 

One application provides your dog with up to four weeks (30 days) of continuous protection. To avoid any lapse, reapply monthly.

If you regularly wash your dog, it's recommended you wash them and let them dry fully before applying their monthly Advocate. If you need to wash your dog between Advocate applications, use a soap-free shampoo.
