Advocate for cats is a brand of topical “spot-on” parasite control treatment.  Advocate for cats has the active ingredients moxidectin and imidacloprid. Once applied to your cat’s skin, it spreads through the skin’s natural oils, providing continuous protection against fleas, heartworm, lungworm and several intestinal worms.

Advocate for Kittens and Small Cats is approved for kittens from 9 weeks of age.

NEVER use dog Advocate on a cat. Advocate for Dogs contains permethrin, which is highly toxic to cats. Always use the cat-specific formulation of Advocate to ensure safety and correct dosing.

Advocate provides protection against heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis), lungworm (Aelurostrongylus abstrusus), and intestinal worms (roundworm and hookworm). It also helps reduce tapeworm risk by eliminating fleas that carry tapeworm cysts.
