    • Philippa says... Hey, these crates are pricey but I would not buy anything else unless the size was just not right for your application. Cheaper crates are just that - cheaper. You will get what you pay for. Cheap crates can have dodgy latches which can be a real pain if you are using the crate for CRATE GAMES where you need to open and close the door a lot. I have several of these crates and yes they are heavy to lug about but way worth it. If you are worried about the LOOK - the hammerstone finish is actually nice. Just throw over a coordinating polar fleece blanket or the like - and a lovely bed and they blend in absolutely fine. You can get canvas covers to fit to use outdoors to cut the wind. A great way to keep your pet safe and as a basis for all sorts of training - and not just as an adjunct to toilet training.

    • Nina says... This crate is really solid compared to other ones I've looked. Expensive but purchased during 20% + free shipping made it quite reasonable. I'm at piece of mind that my little dog won't be able to bend the bars or drag the crate around as it is heavy. Easy to assemble and pack down.

    • Paul says... I've had mine for nearly a year now, it's fantastic, I used it every day when I went to work, my kelpie had no problems inside, after a month or two I started letting him out of the crate when I went out for a few hours & gradually increased the time out until he stays all day while I am at work. I've also found it gat when going on holiday, fold it down & put it in the camper trailer or on the roof of my car & it's a safe, secure place for him to go when we're away. Some have commented on its mobility, it isn't designed to be mobile as such, if you want mobile go for a soft crate, it's designed to be a fixture in whatever room it's in, that's why you can get nice covers for them to dress them up a bit. Overall great product, well made, easy to fold & put back up again, only downside is as several have stated for what it is, it's pretty expensive but once you've bought one you won't need to buy one again it will last several dogs lifetimes if used properly. If it wasn't so expensive I'd get a second one slightly smaller so it would fit in the back of my wagon.

    • Michelle says... This create has made training my new puppy so easy. After using a great training method, he was calm and happy to be in the create. Conbining this with our puppy on a leash when inside has lead to excellent outcomes for house training.

    • Fiona says... Light, strong, versatile, simple: fits in the car (and I can lift it in myself). It has grown with our puppy and she loves it. May seem pricey but you get what you pay for - quality.

    • James M says... I wouldn't be shifting a kennel around anyway. I think it is great - strong and sturdy will last for ages. Though a little expensive I couldn't make it for less :)

    • Elizabeth says... The product is fantastic, although it is large and cumbersome and very much of an eyesore. It's quite expensive but it's done the job so far to keep my very anxious Bull Arab inside without being remotely damaged from her smashing around and gnawing - not that she does it any more since we trained her with this product! It is bite resistant and easy to assemble - in fact it comes pre-made so it takes very little skill to put it all together. Very convenient. I managed to get it on 30% sale, so I am very lucky, but otherwise, it is a bit of a bank breaker for what you're getting.

    • Jenny C says... Way too heavy to move easily from room to room if need be or up and down stairs. Quality is sturdy but simply does not compensate for lack of mobility especially during a puppy's toilet training stage. Most people do not continue using a dog crate once toilet training is successfully achieved and puppy has grown older, so for the use over a couple of months, the price on this is ridiculous and better much cheaper options can be found on other websites if you search for dog crates.
