For those experiencing homelessness with a pet, the human-animal companion bond plays a significant role in their lives. Petbarn and the Petbarn Foundation are proud to support the many pet parents who are experiencing homelessness.

We all know puppies make us feel happy, and there is now plenty of evidence to support their use to improve mental health.

“For some people, their pet is their world. They offer unconditional love, companionship, and are there for them when they need them. Sometimes all it takes to turn your day around is the wagging tail and happy face of your dear old buddy. Unfortunately, not all pet owners have the resources to be able to care for their furry friends as they’d so dearly like to. That’s where we come in” – Kellie Tickner, Greencross Vets Practice Manager. 

Petbarn Foundation with the support of Greencross Vets has donated $107k to Pets in the Park since 2020 including $13,742k raised in the Tree of Hope Appeal 2021.
