Exercising your dog
Dogs need regular exercise to help prevent “behaviour problems” pet owners experience. Problems such as excessive barking, dogging, chewing and wandering the steets are all syptoms of bored and frustrated dogs.
The Companion Animal Act 1998 allows councils in New South Wales to provide residents with designated “Off Leash Area” for the purpose of legally exercising dogs off leash. In all other public places, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
